The Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project (CTAOP) is a nonprofit initiative founded by Academy Award-winning actress Charlize Theron in 2007. Inspired by her South African roots, the organization is dedicated to supporting young people in Southern Africa, with a focus on helping adolescents protect their health, access education, and build brighter futures.
Through partnerships with community-based organizations, CTAOP supports programs that promote sexual and reproductive health education, HIV prevention, youth leadership, and access to essential resources. The project works to empower young people, particularly those facing social and economic barriers, to make informed decisions and create positive change in their communities.
At the heart of CTAOP is a simple but powerful belief: every young person deserves the opportunity to live a healthy, safe, and fulfilling life, regardless of their background or circumstances.
